Bayview Behavioral Health (Updated May 2024) has just finalized the contracts with the last two private health insurance companies. We hope to begin the transition of our old clients to our new clinic in 50-60 days (late June 2024). We hope that we can begin accepting new clients one month later (late July 2024). We apologize for the delays and inconveniences this may have caused though
processing of getting paneled with insurance carriers is driven by the insurance companies including delays and changes in time frames.

Health Insurances Accepted

Bayview Behavioral Health is set to provide therapeutic services to clients throughout Maryland beginning in 2024. With the completion of the Counselors Compact, BBH plans to extend services to member states especially helpful for out-of-state college students.

Bayview Behavioral Health accepts self-pay for conveyance and the extra level of privacy preferred by some clients. In addition, Bayview Behavioral Health accepts the following:

Aetna
Blue Cross/Blue Shield
Care First
Cigna (Multi-Plan)
John Hopkins (EHP/USFH)
Tricare/Humana Military
United Health Care

We also accept self-pay for convenience and extra level of privacy preferred by some of our clients.

In those cases were a client has a health insurance company which is not accepted though does provide some degree of out-of-network reimbursement, we can provide our clients with services receipts, sometimes referred to as a ‘super-bill,’ they can submit to their health insurance company to obtain reimbursement.

MEDICARE: We plan to begin the same process to obtain approval for Medicare in August 2024. As with other insurance companies, Medicare’s approval process can take several months which we are hopeful will put finalization in late 2024.
